Testimonials
"Stamford provides us with the best of many worlds. Stamford is located in the beautiful New England region, with a Jewish community that is welcoming, warm, and accepting giving it an "out-of-town" feel. Stamford boasts an amazing downtown with large employers, malls, shopping, movie theaters, events, theater, and nightlife. Yet, different than other cities where all is has is its own downtown, Stamford is a hop-skip-and-a-jump from the largest metro area in the US. The train from Stamford to NYC comes approximately ten times per hour during peak hours and four times per hour during off-peak hours making it a relatively easy commute in and out of the city any time of day. It is also located within an hour drive to many other large NY/NJ Jewish communities which allows us to visit friends and family, and affords other conveniences of larger Jewish communities without living in it. We're very fortunate to be living here."

"We moved to Stamford primarily for practical, geographic reasons, but are so glad circumstances brought us here! The community embraced us before we even moved and welcomed us with invitations, advice, and smiles. We also appreciate the diversity of the community and the deep friendships built between generations, and the beauty of New England is an added bonus. We have lived in Stamford only one month so far, but are already proud to call it home."

"My family and I moved to Stamford in August of 2014. The warm welcome started even before our arrival, with multiple people introducing themselves via email. This set the bar high and the community continues to surpass my expectations. One thing that strikes me about Stamford is that everyone seems to take ownership of the community. People of all ages, affiliations, and interests take seriously their responsibility to ensure the community continues to thrive. I am grateful to call Stamford my home."

"We love Stamford! The community is so genuinely warm, inviting, and relaxed and that's exactly what we were looking for in our search for a place to live. There are a lot of families and kids but not so many that we're lost, our children are really happy in their schools, and we find new fun local activities every week. We feel like we hit the jackpot with Stamford."

"Stamford fits our family to a tee. We were immediately embraced by the warmth of the community when we moved in and have loved being apart of it ever since! It is a truly unique and open-minded place, where people of all different backgrounds come together to make it the inviting and close-knit place that it is. We enjoy the convenience of being close to the city, but also love all the culture and abundance of fun activities there are locally for kids. We hope this will be our home for a very long time!"

"We have been extremely happy with our decision to move to Stamford. When we were looking at communities, our primary requirements were proximity to Manhattan and affordable housing options; the warmth and vibrancy of the community were purely extras. However, we've come to so appreciate the manner in which the community has adopted us and the way in which we immediately felt that we mattered in both a social and spiritual context, that we now look back at previous places where we lived and wonder why it never struck us that these features didn't exist there!"

"We were looking for something special in a Jewish community - a place that embraces the traditions we value while placing unwavering emphasis on respecting one another's values regardless of differences. We knew immediately that we had found that fusion in Stamford. It is a community that opens its doors to welcome new faces and continually celebrates all that the founding members established, year after year. The neighborhoods are lovely and Fairfield County offers so many great activities, not to mention the most beautiful public parks right on the Long Island Sound. We feel very blessed to have found this special place quietly nestled by the water."

"I love living in Stamford! I find our life here to be so rich and refreshing in so many ways. From the moment we came to Stamford the community welcomed us with open arms. That was three and a half years ago. Since then we have grown our family, moved down the street from our shul, and I have become the Youth Director at Agudath Sholom and a teacher at Bi Cultural Day School. Being involved in our community on so many levels has been such a special experience. I have the privilege of working and living amongst people who everyday toil toward the betterment of building the Jewish life in Stamford."
