The Stamford Jewish community has been in existence for more than one hundred years. There are two Orthodox Shuls located in Stamford - Congregation Agudath Sholom and the Young Israel of Stamford. Our Community boasts a Mikvah, an Eruv, a Chevra Kadisha, and many learning opportunities, including a Daf Yomi Shiur.
The local Jewish Community Center is active in programming for all ages, has a health club and the JCC Sara Walker Nursery School. Another nursery school, Gan Yeladim, as well as a summer camp, are run by Chabad of Stamford. Jewish offerings have expanded near the waterfront of Stamford at Chabad of Harbor Point.
Stamford boasts Fairfield County's only Pre-K through 12th Grade Jewish Day School, Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy. BCHA is a Modern Orthodox school, serving a diverse population of nearly 400 students.
